Christina England is a driven, unifying and transformational marketing professional offering 20 years of expertise within the pharmaceutical industry and over 4 years’ in direct inpatient care knowledge. She is very unique in that she brings a triple threat to the Boardroom with a breadth of end‐to‐end experience spanning early research and development, successful commercialization, and a broad macroscopic understanding of public health. Her passion includes addressing some of our nation and world’s most pressing public health issues from both a business and philanthropic perspective including solutions to the opioid epidemic, resistant pathogen infectious diseases, and early exploration of a potential solution to treat COVID‐19.
Christina England is Vice President, Global Head of Marketing of the Acute Care Franchise at Heron Therapeutics, Inc., an innovative pharmaceutical corporation and also a current Board Member and Executive Committee Member for Athena – a non‐profit organization focused on supporting women in STEM. She has worked at some of the world’s best‐known pharmaceutical companies, such as Merck, Wyeth (now Pfizer), and Mallinckrodt (MNK) as well as innovative San Diego startups such as Cadence Pharmaceuticals, Neurocrine Biosciences, and Heron Therapeutics with increasing roles and leadership experience. Christina has been very active in business development efforts at former companies, which led to two portfolio acquisitions (MNK).
